Support bar (1) must be in place whenever work is being performed under the hopper. In conjunction with the support bar, additional supports must be used when the hopper cylinder is removed.
1. Raise the hopper and install support (1). Also install additional supports between the main frame and the hopper. These additional supports will prevent the hopper from falling if support (1) is dislodged during the hopper cylinder removal.2. Disconnect oil line (4).3. Fasten a hoist to hopper cylinder (5). Remove snap ring (3) and remove cylinder pin (2). 4. Remove snap ring (6). Remove cylinder pin (7) and remove hopper cylinder (5). Weight of the hopper cylinder is 37 kg (82 lb). Install the hopper cylinder in the reverse order of the removal.
