Install two bearings (22) on tube assembly (12) and tube assembly (13) each.
Install two bearings (20) on the bores of hinge assembly (21). Refer to Illustration 7.

Mount hinge assembly (21) with tube assembly (12) using pin assembly (25).Note: Put a coating of 452-6011 Grease over the pin section of pin assembly (25) and into its keyway cavity before assembly. The pin assembly (25) have slots that will index keys to clock it into position.
Install sleeve (26) over the end of the pin. Refer to Illustration 9.Note: Make sure the side of the sleeve (26) with the narrow hole is against the tube assembly (12).
Slide hard washer (27), spring (28), and hard washer (29) on the shoulder of pin assembly (25). Secure with locknut (30). Refer to Illustration 9.Note: The spring (28) should be almost completely relaxed.

Install bolt (31) through tab of hinge assembly (21) and bearing (7) on the other side of tab. Slide link plate (6) and secure with nylon washer (32), hard washer (16), and locknut (33).
Repeat Step 14 for other side of hinge assembly (21). Refer to Illustration 10.

Place step (37) between frame assembly (1) and frame assembly (2), along with two rubber strips (40) on both sides of step (37).
Secure step (37) with four bolts (39), four spacers (38), four hard washers (35), and four locknuts (36). Refer to Illustration 12.Note: The spacers (38) should protrude through the holes in the rubber strip (40) to provide a solid bolted joint abutment.Note: Apply Loctite 243 to the threads of locknuts (36) before assembly.
