ACTION REQUIRED
If a crack is identified at the four bar to main rail joint excavate and repair the crack per the specifications listed in the Rework Procedure.
Refer to Image1 (top view) and Image2 (bottom view) for four bar to main rail locations and Image3 for an example of a crack at the corner of the weld joint.
Note: Refer to the machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual for frame inspection frequency.

This is a 4.0-hour job
If required an additional 16 hours of labor will be allowed for removing and installing the hydraulic tank to complete the repair.
If required an additional 10 hours of labor will be allowed for removing and installing the fuel tank to complete the repair.
It is required to attach pictures showing the identified cracks to SIMSi when submitting the warranty claim.
This program can be applied multiple times if necessary.

Rework Procedure
Refer to the "Procedure for Repairing Frame Cracks at the Four Bar to Main Rail Joint on the Mid Frame Section" section in Special Instruction REHS7995 "Procedure to Inspect and Repair the Center Section Frame on Certain 793F Off-Highway Trucks".
