a. remove camshaft 1. Remove four bolts (1) and plate (2). Remove front idler gear (3).2. Remove bearing from idler gear (3) with tooling (B) and a press. 3. Remove crankshaft gear (4) with tooling (A).Install Timing Gears
1. Install the bearing in front idler gear (1) with tooling (A) as shown. The inside diameter of the bearing must be 63.602 0.038 mm (2.504 .0015 in) after installation. 2. Heat crankshaft gear (2) to a maximum temperature of 233°C (451°F). Install gear (2) with notch (4) in alignment with the pin on the crankshaft. Make sure the timing mark on gear (2) is toward the outside.3. Install gear (1). Make sure the "V" mark on gear (1) is in alignment with the "V" mark on gear (2).4. Install plate (3) with the groove toward gear (1). Install the four bolts that hold plate (3).End By:a. install camshaft
