Install the following tools in accordance with Illustrations 1 and 2.
Disconnect delivery hose (B) from the main pump.
Install O-Ring Seal (15) and Face Seal Plug (14) on delivery hose (B) .
Remove four bolts and disconnect return line hose (J) from return filter (F). Install the return hose (C) at return filter (F) by utilizing four bolts (27) .
Connect Portable Hydraulic Tester (18) between delivery port (A) and return filter (F) with two hoses (11). Refer to Illustration 2.

Main pump (28) Adjustment screw (margin pressure)
Turn adjustment screw (28) until the screw contacts the stop.Note: Return the margin pressure back to the proper specification after this test.

The pressure tap is located behind the left rear access door. (29) Proportional reducing valve pressure (main pump)
Connect a 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge to pressure tap (29) .
Install 9U-7400 Multitach on the engine in order to check the engine rpm.
Start the engine.
Place the power mode switch in the Mode P position.
Maintain the approximate speed of 2056 rpm with the AESC switch in the OFF position.Note: Check the rpm after three seconds.Test
To prevent personal injury and/or equipment damage from failed lines or components while the hydraulic test equipment is returned to the open flow position, slowly open the hydraulic test equipment valve while monitoring the pump flow.If pump flow does not increase as the valve is opened, shut the engine off and determine what is preventing the pump from upstroking.
While the engine is running, maintain the power shift pressure at a constant pressure. Use the following procedure to obtain the constant power shift pressure:

Connect a laptop computer to the service connector in the cab.
Start Electronic Technician.
Place the power mode switch in the MODE P position.
Select the Engine ECM in Electronic Technician.
Select "OK".
Select "Diagnostics" from the main menu.
Select "Diagnostic Tests".
Select "Override Parameters".
Select "Main Pump Power Shift Pres Sol Current Override".

Select the "Change" button.
Enter a value of "0".
Select "OK".
Select "Yes".
Select the "Change" button.
Enter a value in order to set the power shift pressure for the main pump to 1940 kPa (280 psi). Start with a value of "0.55".Note: If the new value is less than the present value, enter a "0" first and then enter the new value.
Select "OK".
Select "Yes".
Check the power shift pressure at pressure tap (29) .Note: During the test, never try to turn the starter switch to the OFF position in order to prevent any change in power shift pressure.
Slowly, turn valve (D) on the Portable Hydraulic Tester clockwise. Record the pump flow and the rpm. Use the pressure gauge to determine the measuring points.Note: Use the measuring points in table 3.
