Oil from the steering pump enters The solenoid valve and manifold through hose (10). The solenoid valve and manifold gives priority to the steering system first. Solenoid valve (4) remains closed until the correct pressure in the steering system is reached. Once the demands of the steering system are met, solenoid valve (4) opens. When solenoid valve (4) opens, the oil flows to the other systems that are connected to the solenoid valve and manifold. The solenoid valve and manifold also contains a check valve (2) that maintains pressure in the steering system when there is no flow from the steering pump. This allows the steering accumulators to maintain pressure for steering if there is an engine failure or a steering pump failure.Other systems that are connected to the solenoid valve and manifold include the gear motor for the rear axle cooling fan, the pump and motor for the rear axle lubrication, and the motor for the motor and the pump for brake cooling. When solenoid valve (4) is energized, control valve (3) controls the flow to the gear motor for the rear axle cooling fan, the pump and motor for the rear axle lubrication, and the motor and the pump for brake cooling. The steering pump pressure and flow compensator valve is fastened to the steering piston pump. The steering pump pressure and flow compensator valve determines the swashplate angle of the steering piston pump. Relief valve (7) is used as the relief valve for the steering system.
