(4SN) Wheel Tractors, 825G (6RN) Soil Compactors, 826G (7LN) Landfill Compactors, 980G (2KR, 9CM, 2SR) Wheel LoadersDescription of Change: New constant torque hose clamps reduce leaks and cab glass fogging by providing a tight, consistent seal on the air conditioner and heater lines. The former clamps could loosen under heavy vibration conditions, allowing small amounts of water to leak and condense on the cab window glass. The new hose clamps should be tightened to 4.5 .5 N m (3.31 .37 lb ft). If the water hose is damaged, the hose can be replaced with 136-1953 Bulk Hose.
Adaptable To: The new 9X-2488 Hose Clamps replace the former 5D-1026 Hose Clamps (not canceled) which are part of 115-0627 Air Conditioner Group, 115-0628 Heater Group, and 110-8138 Heater Lines Group. The new 9X-2488 Hose Clamps are effective with the 824G (4SN347-Up) Wheel Tractors, 825G (6RN314-Up) Soil Compactors, 826G (7LN275-Up) Landfill Compactors, and 980G (2KR1132-Up) Wheel Loaders. The new hose clamps are adaptable to first production for the machines listed.
