62. Lift output shaft (59) a small amount and use tool (C) to install ring (66) on the shaft. 63. Install gear (67) in the No. 3 and 4 clutch housing as shown. 64. Install plate (68) in gear (67) as shown. 65. Install four discs (69) and three plates (70) in the gear. Start and stop with a disc. 66. Install seal (71) and ring (72) on piston (73). Make sure the lips of the seal and ring are away from the teeth of the piston. 67. Install piston (73) into housing (74) as shown. 68. Install three springs (75) as follows:a) Install the first spring with the outside diameter of the spring in contact with the housing assembly.b) Install the next two springs with the outside diameter of the springs in contact with each other as shown. 69. Put plate (77) in position on the housing with the shoulder for the ring up.70. Use steel spacers and a press to put the plate and bevel springs under compression as shown. Use tool (H) to install ring (76) on the end of the housing. 71. Heat carrier (79) to a temperature of 127° to 166°C (260° to 330°F) for a maximum of ten minutes and install it on housing (74) so the part number can be seen. Install the pin to hold carrier (79) in position.72. Install seals (78) in the grooves (slots) in carrier (79). 73. Install housing (74) in gear (67). 74. Install ring (80) in the gear as shown. 75. Install the two plates and three discs (81) in the No. 3 and 4 clutch housing. Start and stop with a disc.76. Put springs (82) in position on the piston as shown. 77. Use tool (A) and a press to install bearing (83) in manifold (84). Make sure the notch in the inner bearing race is down (toward the inside) before the bearing is installed.78. Use tool (B) and install ring (85) in manifold (84). 79. Install two of tooling (E) and a hoist on manifold (84) as shown.80. Put manifold (84) in position. Make sure springs (82) are correctly fitted in manifold (84) and the piston. Also make sure the notch in the bearing engages with the dowels in the housing. Install the two bolts that hold manifold (84). 81. Use tool (L) to install ring (86) on housing (74). 82. Put gear (87) in position and install ring (88) to hold the gear to the housing. 83. Use tool (C) and install ring (89) on shaft (59). 84. Install bearings (93) in gears (91).85. Install washers (90), gears (92) and washers (94) in the carrier. 86. Install shafts (95) in carrier (96) to hold the washers, bearings and gears in place.87. Install dowels (97) to hold shafts (95) in carrier (96).
Be sure the rubber in pins (97) is not damaged. If the rubber is damaged, a replacement of the pins must be made.
88. Install ring (98) in the groove of carrier (96).89.
