Diagnostic TestsThis test is an aid for the troubleshooting of the dosing pump. Use the test to verify proper operation of the dosing pump.
Remove the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pressure line from the DEF outlet of the dosing cabinet.
Install the DEF line from the 464-1955 Tool Gp onto the outlet of the dosing cabinet.
Direct the DEF line into the container included in the 464-1955 Tool Gp.
Perform the "Aftertreatment SCR System Dosing Test". The pump will run at a predetermined speed. The pump will automatically shut off after a predetermined duration.
Measure the volume of DEF that was delivered into the container. The correct volume delivered for an engine running 442-7939 software is 1000 100 mL (34 3.4 oz) .For all other software versions the correct volume delivered is 2000 200 mL (68 6.8 oz).Note: While performing this test, the test hose can contain up to an extra 140 mL (4.76 oz) of fluid. If this fluid drains into the test container, the total volume of DEF will be 2145 200 mL (73 6.8 oz).
