Step 2: Manufacture Special Jig
This jig will be used to drill the holes in the idler shaft as shown. Refer to Image1.3.1.

STEP 3: Drill/Tap Holes in Pin
Locate the 6Y-6613 Upper Idler Shaft on the rear pump drive. Remove washer, O-ring, and bolt from upper idler. Take care not to rotate the idler shaft while removing the bolt. Refer to Image1.4.1.

Thread an M10 threaded locating pin into the shaft puller hole. The pin should protrude from shaft surface no more than 10mm.
Locate the jig on the pin using locating dowel.
Reusing idler bolt without washer, tighten the jig to the shaft to a specified torque of 100 +/- 20 N.m. Refer to Image1.5.1.

Using the locating holes on the jig, drill holes according to the marked print. Refer to Image1.6.1 and 1.6.2.

Remove the jig. Take care not to rotate the idler shaft while removing bolt.
Replace washer, O-ring, and bolt. Tighten the bolt to a specified torque of 100 +/- 20 N.m (74 +/- 15 ft-lbs). Take care not to rotate the idler shaft while installing the bolt.
Tap 2 drilled holes per print. Refer to Image1.7.1 and 1.7.2.

STEP 4: Assemble Bracket 1
Place Bracket 1 on surface of pin. Refer to Image1.8.1. This plate will act as a spacer for bracket 2 to ensure proper contact with bearing cage.

STEP 5: Assemble Bracket 2
Place Bracket 2 on top of Bracket 1. Ensure proper positioning of Bracket 2 relative to center bearing cage case. Refer to Image1.9.1 for proper alignment.

STEP 6: Tighten Brackets 1 and 2
Once aligned as shown in Image1.9.1 and Image1.10.1, tighten with 5P-8245 Washers and high strength M12 259-2627 Bolts to a specified torque, in final position, of 100 +/- 20 N.m (74 +/- 15 ft-lbs).

STEP 7: Bracket 3 Installation
Remove 2 bolts and washers as shown on center bearing cage. Refer to Image1.11.1. Add Bracket 3 and replace two 6V-8675 Bolts with two 6V-5684 Bolts. Reuse the washers and tighten to a specified torque of 100 +/- 20 N.m (74 +/- 15 ft-lbs).

STEP 8: Jam Nut Installation
Assemble jam nut using one 6V-8149 Nut and one 6V-8197 Bolt. Refer to Image1.12.1. Thread bolt into tapped hole in Bracket 3 until it contacts Bracket 2. Tighten the nut to Bracket 3 to a specified torque of 100 +/- 20 N.m (74 +/- 15 ft-lbs).
