Remove Exhaust Manifold (Water Cooled)
START BY:a. remove oil filter base 1. Remove the tube from breather cap (1).2. Remove elbow (5), adapter (4) and elbow (8) from the exhaust manifold. Remove elbow (6).3. Remove bolts (3). Remove nuts (7). Remove exhaust manifold (2).Install Exhaust Manifold (Water Cooled)
If the studs for the exhaust manifold were removed, install new studs, and tighten them to a torque of 27 4 N m (20 3 lb.ft.).1. Put gaskets (3) and exhaust manifold (2) in position on studs (1). Put 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on the studs, and install washers and nuts (7). Tighten the nuts in the number sequence shown to a torque of 52 7 N m (38 5 lb.ft.). Tighten nuts (7) again to a torque of 52 7 N m (38 5 lb.ft.). 2. Install the gasket in location (8). Install bolts (5).3. Put clean engine oil on the O-rings for adapter (6). Install elbow (9), adapter (6) and elbow (4) on the exhaust manifold. 4. Put clean engine oil on O-rings (11). Install elbow (10) and the adapter.5.
