Remove the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector from the Clean Emissions Module (CEM). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.Note: Leave the diesel exhaust fluid lines, and the electrical connector connected to the DEF injector.

Assemble the DEF collection container from Tooling (A). Connect the DEF injector to the lid for the collection container.Note: Tooling (B) may be required to allow the DEF injector to be moved to a convenient location for testing.
Turn the key switch to the ON position.
Connect to the electronic service tool.

Click "Start" to proceed with the test.Note: With the DEF injector dosing, inspect the spray pattern. The injector spray pattern should be finely atomized and conical.Note: This test should run for 6 minutes. If the test only runs for 1 minute, repeat the test a further five times.
After the test has completed, check the measuring container to inspect the amount of DEF in the container. Dispose of the collected DEF as per local regulations and mandates.Specification for DEF sprayed during dosing test ... 105 mL to 130 mL
Reinstall the DEF injector assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Use the electronic service tool to perform the "Aftertreatment System Functional Test".
