Applicability
The kit upgrades the electric power generator set control mounted panels. The panels use the EMCP Engine Status Control (ECS), EMCP 1, EMCP 2, EMCP 2+, EMCP 3.1, EMCP 3.2, and EMCP 3.3.Note: The EMCP 4.3 generator set retrofit kit is not applicable to marine installations.Note: If needed, use the 7C-1000 Control Panel Chart .The kit is fitted in a generator mounted enclosure with the following dimensions:

The enclosure included with the kit has three conduit holes in the bottom while some of the original controls only have two. The third hole can be blocked, if necessary. In addition to the control replacement, the kit will be necessary to replace the oil pressure sensor, engine speed sensor, and coolant temperature sensor. These devices, along with electrical connectors, are included in this kit. The EMCP 4.3 control has been configured for the use of the sensors that are to be installed.In various areas of this document, there will be references to generator set or engine. The terms are to be used interchangeably.Required Documents
