FT-2930 Fork Extension Assembly     2    Note: There is a track guide on each side of the machine. The procedure which follows is for the removal of the track roller with the track guide.
Start the engine. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Stop the engine.
Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve.Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body.Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track.

Release the tension on the track assembly. Slowly loosen relief valve (1) for the track adjuster. Do not loosen the relief valve more than one turn.Note: If the track assembly does not loosen after you open the relief valve. Rotate the track forward and backward until the track tension is released.

Use Tooling (B) and loosen four bolts (3) that hold track guide (2) to the track roller frame assembly. Note: Do not remove the bolts at this time.

Use Tooling (B) and loosen four bolts (5) that secure track roller (4) to the track roller frame assembly. Note: Do not remove the bolts at this time.

Note: Adjust the height of Tooling (A) so that there is sufficient clearance between the track roller and the track roller frame assembly for the removal of the track roller.
Lift the side of the machine in order to install Tooling (A) under the frame, as shown.

Fasten a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C) and position Tooling (C) under track guide (2). Remove four bolts (3) and the spacers. Remove track guide (2). The weight of track guide (2) is approximately 90 kg (200 lb).

Use a suitable lifting device and remove track guide (2) from the machine. The weight of track guide (2) is approximately 82 kg (180 lb).

Fasten a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C) and position Tooling (C) under track roller (4), as shown. Remove bolts (5) and the washers that secure track roller (4). Remove track roller (4) from the machine. The weight of track roller (4) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).
