Remove the radiator guard.
Remove the vibration damper and the pulley.

Use a suitable pry bar to remove wear sleeve (1).

Drill three or more holes in crankshaft front seal (2).Note: Be sure to remove all debris from drilling the holes in the crankshaft front seal.
Use Tooling (A) to remove crankshaft front seal (2).Installation Procedure
Note: Do not use any type of lubricant during the installation of the crankshaft front seal and the wear sleeve.

Before the installation of the crankshaft front seal and the wear sleeve, inspect crankshaft (3) for scratches. Inspect crankshaft (3) for any distortion on the surface that could lead to an out-of-round condition. Use a polishing cloth to remove any imperfections on crankshaft (3).
Clean the outside diameter of crankshaft (3).
Clean the inside diameter of front housing (4).

Use Tooling (C) to attach Tooling (B) to crankshaft (3).
Position wear sleeve (1) and crankshaft front seal (2) as a unit on Tooling (B).Note: Install the crankshaft front seal with the arrow that shows the direction of the crankshaft rotation towards the front of the engine.

Install Tooling (E) on Tooling (B).
Lubricate the face of the washer on Tooling (D) and install Tooling (D) on Tooling (B).
Tighten Tooling (D) until Tooling (E) contacts Tooling (B).

Remove Tooling (D) and Tooling (E) from Tooling (B).

Remove Tooling (C) and Tooling (B) from crankshaft (3).End By:
Install the vibration damper and the pulley.
Install the radiator guard.
