PROBLEM
The existing 4336936/">433-6936 GS420 Inertial Sensor can fail on certain PM620, PM620, PM622, PM622, and PM822 Cold Planers equipped with CAT Grade Control. If the existing 4336936/">433-6936 GS420 Inertial Sensor fails, it likely due to moisture entry into the component and will often trigger a diagnostic code and the grade control system will cease to function.

ACTION REQUIRED
The 4336936/">433-6936 GS420 Inertial Sensor (1) must be replaced for the Grade Control system on the Cold Planer. The GS420 Inertial Sensor (1) is mounted underneath the machine.
Remove connector and the two securing bolts
Remove the sensor
Replace the two bolts and torque appropriately
Check for and clear diagnostic codes
Recalibrate the relevant system
Check system accuracy
