EARLIER1. Remove the access door from over the engine on the left side of the machine.2. Remove the exhaust pipe from elbow (2).3. Disconnect tube (1) from elbow (2).4. Remove the bolts that hold elbow (2) in position and pull elbow (2) away from the turbocharger and remove it.5. Remove turbocharger oil lines (3) and (4) from the engine.
LATER6. On later models, loosen the clamps for hose (6).7. Remove bolts (5) that hold the turbocharger to the manifold and remove the turbocharger from the machine.Install Turbocharger
EARLIER1. Inspect all seals and install new seals if needed.2. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts that hold the turbocharger.3. Put turbocharger (1) in position on the exhaust manifold with the gasket and install the bolts to hold it. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 40 4 lb.ft. (55 5 N m).4. On later models, tighten the clamps to connect the hose and pipe to the turbocharger housing.5. Install the two turbocharger oil lines.6. Install the exhaust elbow and pipe. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts and nuts that hold the exhaust elbow and pipe in position before they are installed.7. Connect the tube to the exhaust elbow.8. Install the access door over the engine and the left side of the machine.
