Description of Change: The new forged rear spindles and forged front spindles are used to supplement and alleviate shortages created by the increased demand for the 797F spindles. The forged spindles are from an alternate source of supply.Adaptable To: The Machine Shipping Order (MSO) for a 797F Off-Highway Trucks will reflect the following wheel arrangements: 384-7628 Wheel Ar or 384-7630 Wheel Ar for front spindles and 384-7629 Final Drive and Brake Wheel Ar or 384-7631 Final Drive and Brake Wheel Ar for rear spindles.The 384-7628 Wheel Ar reflects a cast front spindle and the 384-7630 Wheel Ar reflects a forged front spindle. The 384-7629 Final Drive and Brake Wheel Ar reflects a cast rear spindle and the 384-7631 Final Drive and Brake Wheel Ar reflects a forged rear spindle.The wheel arrangement requires only cast or forged for both front and rear spindles. Thus when a truck ships there will not be a front cast spindle mixed with a front forged spindle or a rear cast spindle mixed with a rear forged spindle.The serial numbers for the first truck with 797F forged rear spindle is LAJ290 and WSP103. The serial numbers for the first truck with 797F forged front spindle is LAJ298 and WSP112.
