Note: Clamp (6) halves are matched pairs. Place identification marks on clamp (6) for installation purposes.
Remove bolts (5) and clamp (6) .
Rotate pinion (7) to reposition pony rod (2) and plunger (1). Leave enough space between pony rod (2) and plunger (1) to remove the seal (pony rod).
Remove bolts (3) and retainer (4) .
Rotate pinion (7) to move pony rod (2) out to remove seal (pony rod) (8) .

Remove O-ring seal (9) from seal (pony rod) (8) .Installation Procedure
Install seal (pony rod) (8) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (C) to the seal (pony rod) (8) and O-ring seal (9) .
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (3) .
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (5) .
Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 108 N m (80 lb ft).

Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (3) .
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (5) .
Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 108 N m (80 lb ft).
