Removal Procedure
Note: Use this procedure for either air cleaner.

Loosen clamp (1) that secures dust ejector hose (2) from the muffler to precleaner (3). Remove dust ejector hose (2) from precleaner (3) .

Loosen clamp (4) at the base of precleaner (3). Lift precleaner (3) from the air filter housing.Note: Lift precleaner (3) through the hood of the engine enclosure.Note: The hood is not shown for photographic purposes.

Open latches (5) and remove cover (6) from the air filter housing.

Remove primary air filter (7) .

Remove secondary air filter (8) .

Remove ten locknuts (9) that secure air filter housing (10) to the air inlet elbow. Remove air filter housing (10) .Installation Procedure
Note: Use this procedure for either air cleaner.

Position air filter housing (10) on the air inlet elbow.
Install ten locknuts (9) that secure air filter housing (10) to the air inlet elbow. Tighten locknuts (9) to a torque of 25 4 N m (18 3 lb ft).

Install secondary air filter (8) in the air filter housing.

Install primary air filter (7) in the air filter housing.

Install cover (6) on the air filter housing. Close latches (5) on cover (6) of the air filter housing.

Slide precleaner (3) through the hood of the engine enclosure. Position precleaner (3) on the air filter housing. Tighten clamp (4) on precleaner (3) .Note: The hood is not shown for photographic purposes.

Install dust ejector hose (2) from the muffler on precleaner (3). Tighten clamp (1) that secures dust ejector hose (2) .
