The Engine Emissions Certification Label needs to be replaced on the products listed below. The existing Engine Emissions Certification Label may contain incorrect information. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 09Feb2016 when scheduling this service.
We regret the inconvenience this may cause you, but urge you to have this service performed as soon as possible to prevent unscheduled downtime.

Rework Procedure
1. Start by retrieving the engine serial number for each affected product.
Identify your machine and the corresponding engine serial numbers within the list of affected product below. Refer to Image 1.1.1.

2. Send an e-mail to the following address to obtain replacement labels, identification plate and 349-6095 film:

(Note you may need to use EngineCertificationHelp email address if address @perkins.com gets rejected)
Please ensure the e-mail subject line includes the PI number of this Letter and the machine serial number(s) you are requesting labels for. (e.g."PI3XXXX - M/C S/N LJR00XXX")
3. The e-mail needs to include the following information :

Engine Serial Number : G9Gxxxxx (from step 1)

4. After receiving the new emission labels and the new engine identification plate :
Unbolt the enclosure panel located on the RH side of the machine , as shown on Image 1.4.1.
Remove the existing engine emission label located on the engine block. Refer to Image 1.4.2. for the label location.
Using a heat gun may help removing the label. Gently heat entire label by holding gun 3-4 inches away. The label shouldn?t get so hot you can?t touch it. The label should be peelable once heat has been applied.
After label removal, clean the surface with soapy water and dry the surface.
Carefully peel the backing from one end of the new emission label and install in its place.
Reinstall the enclosure panel.
Notes :
The labels are ?one chance only? and cannot be removed for a second attempt.
Please do not attempt to place the new label on top of the old label.

5. Open the LH side engine enclosure door and remove the existing engine emission label located on the engine valve cover. Refer to Image 1.5.1.
After label removal, clean the surface with soapy water and dry the surface.
Carefully peel the backing from one end of the new emission label and install in its place. The label should be readable from the LH side of
