Information:

Rework Procedure
1. Remove the track and the track roller frame in order to have access to the track roller frame housing.
2. Grind out the crack. Make a wide cut to completely remove the side cracks. Make a chamfer for welding on the outside and the inside. Refer to Image1.1.1 and 1.1.2.

3. Preheat with a torch. Fill weld on the outside. Refer to Image1.2.1.

4. Grind the root of the outside weld before welding the inside in order to avoid defects or lack of fusion. Refer to Image1.3.1.

5. Fabricate a plate for reinforcement out of ASTM 5. A109/A109M steel. Refer to Image1.4.1.

6. Weld the fabricated plate onto the casting. Refer to Image1.5.1, 1.5.2, 1.5.3 and 1.5.4 for positioning the plate on the casting.

7. Weld any worn spots in the bores. Ensure that there is sufficient material in order for machining the bores.
8. Machine the bores. Refer to Image1.7.1, 1.7.2, 1.7.3, 1.7.4, 1.7.5 and 1.7.6.

9. Mount the new bearings. The bearing should be flush with surfaces (1) and (2) as shown in Image1.8.1. Check the bearing measurements after assembly. Refer to Image1.8.2.

10. Remove the sprocket segment closer to the pivot shaft in order to allow the installation of the track roller frame.
11. Measure between the end of the pivot shaft and the ring. The dimension should be less than 291 mm.
12. Install a new 8G-2943 Seal on the pivot shaft.
13. Assemble the track roller frame. Install three new 282-0946 Bolts
with thread lock on the pivot shaft. Tighten the bolts to a high torque of 570 N.m +/- 80 N.m. Refer to Image1.9.1.

14. Finish reassembling the track roller frame and add oil.
15. Assemble the track.
