THE 6V4945 ROLLER BUFFER HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO ACT AS A PERIPHERAL COMPONENT IN THE MODEL "W" ROLLER/IDLER REBUILDING SEQUENCE.AFTER THE BULK OF THE DIRT AND GRIT HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM A ROLLER THROUGH EITHER STEAM CLEANING OR HIGH PRESSURE JET SYSTEM, THE ROLLER BUFFER WILL ACCOMPLISH THE FINAL CLEANING OPERATION BEFORE IT GOES TO THE WELDING UNIT FOR REBUILDING.Installation/Maintenance
Installation
The Roller Buffer is shipped completely assembled. After checking to be certain that the equipment was not damaged during shipment, locate the unit so that it fits into the repair shop's work flow system.IN ORDER TO PUT THE ROLLER BUFFER INTO SERVICE:1. Level the unit using the adjustment bolts on the legs.2. Have a qualified electrician connect the proper electrical supply to the unit.Maintenance
The Roller Buffer requires very little maintenance as long as it is not abused. However, it is necessary to:1. Clean the dust out of the roller on a daily basis.2. Replace the cleaning brushes as needed; normal wear should be approximately six months.3. Replace the drive belt as needed.4. Grease the roller bearing blocks every week. THE ILLUSTRATION SHOWS A POSSIBLE WORK FLOW SYSTEM WHICH INCLUDES THE END COLLAR PULLER, DIP TANK AND THE MODEL "W". YOU SHOULD PLACE YOUR MACHINE TO FIT YOUR PARTICULAR NEEDS.Operational Instructions
