Disregard the previous article, additional information about parameters settings has been added.There are new features that can be configured through Cat® ET. Upgrading to the latest version to ensure that full functionality of these features is recommended.High Soot Load Aftertreatment Protection Status Enable
This feature allows the user to disable the engine idle down strategy that occurs approximately 5 minutes after the High DPF #1 Soot Loading (3719-16) has become active.
If this feature is set to "Enable", the engine will idle down approximately 5 minutes after the High DPF #1 Soot Loading (3719-16) has become active.
If this feature is set to "Disable", the engine will not Idle down after the "High DPF #1 Soot Loading" (3719-16) has become active.Note: The default setting for this feature is "Enable".High Aftertreatment Protection Shutdown Configuration
This configuration allows the user to change if the engine does a forced shutdown at "Temporary" (3714-31) or "Permanent" system lock (3715-31) out.
If this feature is set to "Temporary", the engine will begin doing forced shutdown. The forced shutdown will occur when the DPF Active Regeneration Inhibited Due to Temporary System Lockout (3714-31) has been triggered.
If this feature is set to "Permanent", the engine will begin doing forced shutdowns when the DPF Active Regeneration Inhibited Due to Permanent System Lockout (3715–31) has been triggeredNote: The default setting for this configuration is "Temporary".Note: If the engine trips a (3714-31) code and the configuration is set to "Temporary", the engine will continue to shut down every 30 seconds. In order to troubleshoot the code, this setting must be changed to "Permanent". Once the troubleshooting has been completed, set the setting back to "Temporary". High Speed Regeneration Minimum Engine Speed Configuration Code
This configuration allows steady engine speed and high engine load applications to skip the preheat step of the DPF regeneration. The DPF requires a warm-up period prior to the regeneration. Certain engine applications keep the exhaust gas temperature higher than the desired DPF inlet temperature at the beginning of a regeneration.
If your engine operation is constantly changing speed and load, then set this parameter to a "1".
If your engine operation is a constant speed with steady high engine loading, or you are experiencing frequent Aftertreatment 1 Diesel Particulate Filter Intake Gas Temperature High (1 or 2), set this parameter to a "2".Note: The default setting for this feature is "1".
