Remove the drive shaft (rear).
Remove the tire and rim (rear).
Drain the oscillating axle (rear). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to oscillating axle (rear) (1). The weight of oscillating axle (rear) (1) is approximately 1148 kg (2530 lb).

Remove bolts (2) and guard (3).

Remove bolts (4).Note: Do not lower the axle too far. There is a hose assembly attached to the top of the axle.
Carefully lower oscillating axle (rear) (1) approximately 15 cm (6 inch).

Disconnect hose assembly (5).
Remove the oscillating axle (rear).Installation Procedure
Note: Apply Tooling (B) to the dowels.
Install oscillating axle (rear) (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 1000 125 N m (738 92 lb ft).
