Remove Turbocharger (Marine Engine)
start by: a) remove air cleaner 1. Disconnect elbow (5) from exhaust system.2. Disconnect water inlet line (4) and water outlet line (2) from turbocharger.3. Disconnect line (3) from turbocharger and loosen fitting at cylinder block.4. Disconnect oil return line from turbocharger.5. Remove five bolts that hold air line (1) to aftercooler.6. Fasten a hoist to turbocharger. Remove four nuts that hold turbocharger to exhaust manifold.7. Remove air line (1) from turbocharger.8. Remove turbocharger. Weight is 90 lb. (41 kg).Install Turbocharger (Marine Engine)
1. Fasten a hoist to turbocharger and put in position on exhaust manifold.2. Put liquid soap on O-ring seals of air line and install air line on turbocharger. 3. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on studs. Install four nuts (1) that hold turbocharger to exhaust manifold. Tighten nuts to a torque of 40 4 lb.ft. (55 5 N m).4. Install five bolts that hold air line to aftercooler.5. Connect oil return line to turbocharger.6. Connect oil supply line to turbocharger and tighten the fitting at cylinder block.7. Connect water inlet and outlet lines.8. Connect elbow to exhaust system.end by: a) install air cleaner
