           Typical example of an error message for the reverse fan functionReverse Fan Function Will Not Start
The monitor will provide one of the following error messages if the reverse fan function does not start:"NOT INSTALLED" - The reverse fan is not installed on this machine. If this message is received in error, consult your Caterpillar dealer."HYD OIL TEMP HIGH" - The hydraulic oil temperature is too high. Shut off the engine and do not operate the machine until the hydraulic oil temperature is below 85 °C (185 °F)."COOLANT TEMP HIGH" - The coolant temperature is too high. Shut off the engine and do not operate the machine until the coolant temperature is below 95 °C (203 °F)."HYD LOCK SW OFF" - The hydraulic lockout control is in the UNLOCKED position. Move the hydraulic lockout control to the LOCKED position."SOL MALFUNCTION" - The reverse fan is malfunctioning. Consult your Caterpillar dealer.Reverse Fan Function Is Interrupted
If one of the following conditions occur, the reverse fan function will stop, and regular operation of the radiator cooling fan will resume:
The hydraulic lockout control is moved to the UNLOCKED position.
The temperature of the hydraulic oil rises above 90 °C (194 °F).
The coolant temperature rises above 100 °C (212 °F).This event will be accompanied by a "REVERSE FAN ERROR" message.Filter and Fluid Information
The "FLTR/FLUID INFO" menu allows the operator to change the accumulated hours for the machine's filters and fluids.
