INPUT GEAR 1C3960 - Caterpillar

Introduction
The internal gears on both the idler shaft and the drive shaft of the engine oil pump (see charts that follow) were changed for the engines given above.The two charts give both the former part numbers and the new part numbers. The former parts have been cancelled and replaced by the new parts.When one of the former part number shaft assemblies requires replacement, it is necessary to replace both former shaft assemblies with the new part number shaft assemblies. The gear tooth pitch of the gears on the new shaft assemblies is not the same as the gear tooth pitch of the gears on the former shaft assemblies. (Former shaft assemblies and new shaft assemblies can not be used together.)
