Lower ripper assembly (1) to the ground.
Release the hydraulic system pressure.

Remove tube assemblies (2). Disconnect hose assemblies (3).

Remove strap and bracket assembly (4).

Attach a suitable lifting device to ripper lift cylinder (5). The weight of ripper lift cylinder (5) is approximately 175 kg (386 lb).
Remove plate (6) and remove pin assembly (7).
Remove plate (9) and remove pin assembly (8).
Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove ripper lift cylinder (5).

Remove lip seals (10) from ripper lift cylinder (5). Repeat this step for the opposite end of ripper lift cylinder (5).
Repeat Steps 3 through 9 for the remaining ripper lift cylinder. Installation Procedure

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

(5) Use Tooling (C) in order to remove and install sleeve bearings (5). Install sleeve bearings (5) to Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is equal to 11.0 0.5 mm (0.43 0.02 inch). (6) Lubricate the threads of self-locking nut (6). Tighten self-locking nut (6) to a torque of 6500 650 N m (4795 480 lb ft)
