(10) Adaptor harness connector routed up the left-hand side of the engine to the EN-C16 connector
Route the adaptor harness up along the left-hand side of the engine. Locate the EN-C16 engine harness connector (9). The connector is connected to the J1939 Data Link terminating resistor connector. Remove the 134-2540 Connection Resistor As, 120 ohm terminating resistor from the EN-C16 harness connector. This resistor will not be reused. Refer to Illustration 10.
Connect the adaptor harness 3 pin, 3E-3370 Connector Receptacle As to the engine harness EN-C16 connector. Verify that the data link circuits are properly connected to the corresponding data links circuits in the mating connectors. Ensure that the connectors are fully seated and locked in place. The adaptor harnesses should be secured to the existing harness and hose using the 7K-1181 Cable Strap.
All the required connections should now be complete. Use the 7K-1181 Cable Strap to secure the connectors and the adaptor harnesses to the existing clips and machine harnesses. Verify that all the connectors and circuits are connected according to the Illustration 6 connection diagram.
