(5) Pressure indicatorThis tool group has an indicator that is used to read the pressure in the fuel manifolds. The Special Instruction, SEHS8907 is with the tool group.Test Preparation - Fuel Manifold and Fuel Transfer Pump Pressure
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over any disconnected fuel system components.
Use a suitable container to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately.

(10) Pressure sensor (port for unfiltered fuel pressure)
(11) Pressure sensor (port of filtered fuel pressure)
(12) Fuel outlet to the fuel manifolds (filtered fuel)
(13) Fuel inlet from the fuel transfer pump (unfiltered fuel)
Turn off the engine.
Remove pressure sensors (10) and (11) from the elbows on the fuel filter housing cover.
Remove pressure sensor elbows from the fuel filter housing cover.
Install 5P-5528 Reducing Bushing at the port location for (10) and (11).
Connect the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Gp to the reducing bushings. Refer to Illustration 3. Use the fittings and the nylon tubing that is provided with the Engine Pressure Gp to connect to the reducing bushings. The fuel pressure from the fuel transfer pump can be checked at the location of pressure sensor (10). The fuel pressure to the fuel manifold can be checked at the location of pressure sensor (11). The fuel filter differential pressure can be checked from the difference in fuel pressure between the location of pressure sensors (10) and the location of plug (11).Test Procedure - Transfer Pump and Fuel Manifold Pressure

Start the engine.
Operate the engine at rated speed and load.
Note the pressure readings. If the pressures are not within the specifications, refer to Troubleshooting, "Fuel Pressure Is Low" and Troubleshooting, "Fuel Filter Is Restricted".
