INSERT-ARM 4W9295 - Caterpillar

No clearance for man in this area when turning vehicle. When machine is to be lifted, transported on another vehicle or service work being performed near center of machine, connect anti-pivot link between front and rear frames to keep machine in straight ahead position. Before operation and when operating, be sure anti-pivot link, located near lower center of machine, is disconnected and pinned to retaining plates.
1. Remove cotter pin and pin (1). Make a separation of anti-pivot link (2) from the rear frame.2. Put anti-pivot link (2) in its storage position on the front frame as shown. Install pin (1) and cotter pin. 3. Remove cotter pin and pin (1). Disconnect anti-pivot link (2) from the storage bracket on the front frame. 4. Put the bores of the anti-pivot link (2) in alignment with the bore of the bracket on the rear main frame. Install pin (1) and cotter pin and make a connection of the anti-pivot link and rear main frame.
