Diesel engine exhaust contains products of combustion which may cause personal injury.Always start and operate the engine in a well ventilated area, and, if in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside.
Personal injury can result from rotating and moving parts. Stay clear of all rotating and moving parts.Never attempt adjustments while the machine is moving or the engine is running unless otherwise specified.The machine must be parked on a level surface and the engine stopped.Attach a "Do Not Operate" or similar warning tag to the start switch and controls before servicing, repairing, or making adjustments to the machine.
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
Introduction
Use this procedure to calibrate and set the screed extender extend solenoid.Calibration Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface. Refer to the tractor Operation and Maintenance Manual for the proper operating procedure.

Raise the screed and allow the tow arms to rest on two screed service locks (1).Calibration Procedure
Note: This calibration procedure requires operation of the machine controls. Read and understand machine operation before performing this calibration procedure. Refer to the machine Operation and Maintenance Manual.Note: This procedure calibrates and sets the screed extender extend solenoid for the extender on the right side of the machine. The procedure to calibrate and set the screed extender extend solenoid on the left side of the machine is similar.

Press soft key (2) next to the calibrations icon.

Touch "Calibrations" (3).

Use soft key (7) next to the down arrow and soft key (5) next to the up arrow to scroll through the menu.
Touch "L Extender Extend Solenoid" (4) or "R Extender Extend Solenoid" (6).

Read on-screen warnings (8). Use soft key (7) next to the down arrow to scroll through the warnings.

After fulfilling the requirements of on-screen warnings (8), press soft key (9) next to "OK".

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration of the extender extend solenoid.
