3200, 3300, And 3400 Families Of EnginesDescription of Change: The bleed screw on 7000 series fuel injection nozzles in the 3200, 3300, and 3400 Families Of Engines has been changed. The new bleed screw has a TORX® socket head while the former bleed screw had a hex socket head. See the illustration. The new TORX® socket head bleed screw allows a more consistent torque capability which will result in better sealing. A TORX® T-15 tool is required to remove and install the new bleed screw.
Bleed screw identification.Adaptable To: The new TORX® socket head bleed screw is used in all 7000 series fuel injection nozzles in the 3200, 3300 and 3400 Families Of Engines. If a bleed screw is damaged or lost replace it with a 8C3234 Screw (TORX® socket head). A 1U5895 Bit (TORX® T-15) is available to use with the 6V4980 Tool Group to remove or install the new bleed screw. The installation torque of the new bleed screw is 2.2 0.8 N m (20 7 lb in).
