Follow all lockout procedures that are required for maintenance to the genset. Remove all electrical power from the engine. Verify that the 24 VDC power supply is disconnected.

Remove the subpanel from the front panel. Place the subpanel inside the enclosure. Hang the subpanel from a wire in order to prevent the subpanel from pulling on the wiring harness.Note: Some steps in this Special Instruction cover parts that are optional. If you do not have an optional part that is moved in this procedure, skip to the next step.
Remove the wires from the wattmeter (4). Remove the wires from the tachometer (3) .
Remove the mounting nuts for the meter subassembly (16). Remove the two mounting nuts for the mounting brackets for the subpanel.
Remove the meter subassembly (16) from the front panel.

After the meter subassembly (23) is removed, loosen the mounting nuts for the tachometer (21). Rotate the tachometer by 180°. Remove the mounting nuts for the wattmeter (22). Rotate the wattmeter by 180°. This is required to allow the meter subassembly to be mounted upside-down from the original position. The wattmeter will be located on top and the tachometer will be located on the bottom. This is shown in Illustration 3.
Set this assembly aside. The assembly will be mounted in the new panel later.
Remove the nonmetallic raceway cover on the strip that is located on the back of the front panel. The cover will be located under the AC meters.

Location of cable straps
Tie the wires that are located in the nonmetallic raceway in 4 places. Use 3S-2093 Cable Straps . Form the wires into a stiff harness that will maintain the original shape. This is necessary when the harness is removed from the nonmetallic raceway and moved to the new panel. See Illustration 4 for more information.
Remove the wires
