Remove axle shaft.

Install Tooling (A) to final drive (1). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of final drive (1) is approximately 130 kg (287 lb).Note: The weight of final drive (1) may vary according to the models.

Remove three bolts (2) from final drive (1).

Remove final drive (1) from wheel assembly (3).
Remove O-ring seal (4) from final drive (1).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to support final drive (1). Position final drive (1) on a suitable block, as shown.
Slowly remove planetary shaft (5) from planetary carrier (1). Planetary shaft (5) is a slip fit.

Remove thrust washer (10), gear (9), and thrust washer (6) from the planetary carrier.
Remove sleeve bearing (7) from gear (9).
Remove pin (8) from planetary shaft (5).
Repeat steps 6 through 9 for the removal of the other two planetary gears.
