Drain the engine coolant into a suitable container to a level below the 110-1168 Pressure Switch .Keep the coolant for reuse, if possible.
Remove the pressure switch. Install the 5M-6213 Pipe Plug in place of the switch.
Crimp an 8T-8730 Connector Socket on to each end of a wire to be used as jumper. Connect the jumper wire to terminals "B" and "C" on the harness end of the 8T-8731 Connector Plug in order to create a closed circuit.
Install the 8T-8737 Seal Plug into terminal "A" on the harness end of the 8T-8731 Connector Plug .
Connect the 8T-8731 Connector Plug to the harness breakout that was previously connected to the pressure switch. Use a tie strap to secure the breakout harness to the main engine harness.
Refill the cooling system according to the engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.Note: The 110-1168 Pressure Switch will not be installed on new engine builds. Refer to Table 2 for the new engine build serial numbers.

Make sure to provide monitoring protection against high jacket water inlet pressure, which is also known as pump outlet pressure.
For G3500 Engines, the maximum pressure limit is 379 kPa (55 psi)
For G3600 Engines, the maximum pressure limit is 462 kPa (67 psi)
