Remove the exhaust flex-pipe assembly.
Personal injury can result from hot coolant, steam and alkali.At operating temperature, engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot coolant or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns.Remove cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure only when engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not attempt to tighten hose connections when the coolant is hot, the hose can come off causing burns.Cooling System Coolant Additive contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.

Remove heat shield (1) .Disconnect tube assembly (2) .

Disconnect tube assemblies (3), (4), and hose assembly (5).

Remove hose assembly (6) and tube assembly (7) . Remove four nuts (8) and remove the turbocharger (9) and the gasket. Discard the gasket.Installation Procedure
Install the turbocharger in the reverse order of removal.
Replace the turbocharger nuts and gasket.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the studs prior to the installation of nuts (8). Tighten nuts (3) in a crisscross pattern to a torque of 70 5 N m (52 4 lb ft).

If installing a new turbocharger, alternately loosen and tighten clamps (9) and (10) to orient the compressor and turbine housings. Alternately loosening and tightening of the clamps keeps the bearing housing from moving. After proper orientation of the housings, tighten clamp (9) to a torque of 14 1 N m (120 11 lb in).
Tighten clamp (10) to a torque of 18 N m (160 lb in). Loosen clamp (10) one to two turns and retighten clamp (10) to a torque of 14 1 N m (120 11 lb in).
