1. Fasten a hoist and remove the bolts (1) that hold the filter housing to the pump housing.2. Remove fuel filter housing. Weight is 80 lb. (36.3 kg).Install Fuel Filter Housing
1. Put the fuel filter housing (1) in position on the pump housing.2. Install the bolts that hold them together.end by: a) install fuel transfer pumpb) install fuel injection pump housing, governor and fuel filter housingDisassemble Fuel Filter Housing
start by: a) remove fuel filter housing1. Remove the fuel priming pump. 2. Remove cover (2) from housing. Remove retainers (3), springs and filter elements from cover.3. Remove bypass valve (5) from cover. Remove bleed valve and seat (4) for filter housing.4. Remove bleed valve and seat (1) for pump housing.5. Remove cover and check valve from the housing. 6. Put the bypass valve in a 7/8" socket as shown. Remove retainer from sleeve (6) with a punch and hammer. Remove plunger, spring and O-ring seal from sleeve.7. The check valve for the priming pump is disassembled in the same way as the bypass valve in Step 6.Assemble Fuel Filter Housing
1. Install spring (3), plunger (4) and retainer (5) in sleeve (1). Push the retainer into sleeve with a vise. Install O-ring seal (2) on sleeve.2. The assembly procedure for the check valve is the same as the bypass valve in Step 1. 3. Install cover (6) and check valve (7) in housing.4. Install the seats and bleed valves in cover.5. Install bypass valve in cover.6. Install filter elements, springs, and retainers on cover.7. Install the fuel priming pump.end by: a) install fuel filter housing.
