Install bevel gear side gear (18).

Install bevel pinion gears (15), sleeves bearings (16), and thrust washers (17) onto spider (14).

Install spider (14) and bevel pinion gears (15) as one unit.

Use two people to install differential housing (13) onto differential (11). Use two people to turn over differential housing (13).

Attach Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device to differential (11). The combined weight of differential (11) and differential housing (13) is approximately 104 kg (230 lb).
Install bolts (12). Do not torque bolts (12) at this time.

Use Tooling (E) and the suitable lifting device to position differential (11) and differential housing (13) onto Tooling (F). Remove Tooling (E).

Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 95 10 N m (70 7 lb ft).

Use Tooling (G) to tighten bolts (12) an additional 180° 5°.

Install plate (10).

Install differential gear (9). Install friction discs (7) and plates (8).

Raise the temperature of bearing cone (3). Install bearing cone (3) onto differential housing assembly (2).

Install differential housing assembly (2). Be sure that Alignment Marks (X) are aligned. Install bolts (1).End By:
