INSTRUCTION SHEET, EGR COOLER 1172063R1 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the spring (6) and valve (4) from housing (1).2. Remove the plug (5) and valve (3).3. Remove the plug (8), spring (9), and stem (7) from valve group.4. Remove the four bolts (2) that hold valve group (10) to valve group (16). 5. Remove the valve group (10) from valve group (16).6. Remove valves (15) from valve group (16).7. Remove the stops (14) and springs (13).8. Remove the stems (11) and shims (12). Keep the shims with their respective stems. Put identification on each stem (11) as to its location in valve group (10).Assemble Main System Relief Valve
1. Install the stems (3) in their original positions in valve group (2). Install the original thickness of shims (4) in their respective stems.2. Install the springs (5) and stops (6) in valve group (2).3. Install the valves (7) in valve group (8).4. Put valve group (2) in position on valve group (8). Make sure the O-ring seals are in place. Install the four bolts (1).5. Install the stem (11), spring (10), and plug (9) in valve group.6. Install the valve (16) and plug (15). 7. Put the valve (13) and spring (14) in position in housing (12).end by: a) install combiner, summing and main relief valveb) ADJUSTMENT OF RELIEF VALVE IN MAIN SYSTEM as shown in TESTING AND ADJUSTING
