Bearing Removal
Put two weld beads around the inner surface of the bearing. The weld decreases the size of the bearing enough so that it is easier to remove the bearing with a press or driver.
Do not use any type of torch to remove the bearing. This can damage the bearing bore.
Bearing Installation
Put the bearing in dry ice until it is the same temperature as the dry ice. Then install the bearing with a press.
Do not install the bearing if the bearing is at room temperature. Also, never hit the bearing with a hammer to install it. This can damage the bearing.
