Ask for Form Number SEBU5612.The Caterpillar Beadless Tire was developed to provide a tire with long wear life in extremely difficult operating conditions. It is more resistant to heat build-up than conventional tires. It provides more economical maintenance by utilizing component replacement rather than requiring complete tire replacement. The two-piece rim bolts together for easy assembly of tire.The carcass is an oval shaped chamber that is reinforced with radial steel cables for strength and protection. Single-ply sidewalls reduce heat build-up that occurs between plys of conventional tires.The mounting belt is rubber, wound with layers of steel cable. The belt fits into grooves in the carcass. It provides a mounting surface for the shoes.Steel shoes bolt to anchor plates molded into the belt. On the 992C, a boss and a bolt in the center of each shoe reduces the flexing of wider shoes.All components are individually replaceable as normal wear occurs, or in the event of sudden failure.
