Removal Procedure
Start By:
Release the system pressure.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

Open access door (1).

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and (4).
Disconnect harness assemblies (3).

Disconnect hose assemblies (5), (6), and (7).

Disconnect hose assemblies (10) and (9).
Disconnect harness assembly (8).

Remove bolts (11) and tube assembly (12).

Disconnect harness assembly (14) and hose assembly (15).
Disconnect hose assemblies (17).
Remove bolts (13) and filter assembly (16).

Remove bolts (18) and reposition filter assembly (19) out of the way.

Open hood (20).

Remove bolts (22) and cover assembly (21).

Remove bolts (23) and sheet assembly (24).

Disconnect harness assemblies (25). Remove bolts (26) and reposition harness group (27) out of the way.

Attach a suitable lifting device to main hydraulic pump (31). The weight of main hydraulic pump (31) is approximately 150 kg (331 lb). Remove bolts (30) and main hydraulic pump (31).Installation Procedure
Install the main hydraulic pump in the reverse order of removal.
