A 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound -
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: The rear face of the cover and the front face of the housing must be clean.
Inspect the condition of the housing cover gasket. Replace the gasket, if necessary.

Install housing cover gasket (5) .Note: Bolt (3) is a through bolt. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads prior to installation.
Install the following items on the front housing: front cover (4) , bolts (2) , bolt (3) and the washers.Note: Do not reuse the seal washers. Use new seal washers for installation.
Install studs (1) with new seal washers and the nuts.End By:
Install the fuel transfer pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Transfer Pump - Install".
Install the crankshaft front seal. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Front Seal - Install".
Install the belt tensioner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt Tensioner - Remove and Install".
Install the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install" .
