(7) Return Port for Implement Oil The implement oil filter is located within the hydraulic oil tank. The implement oil filter removes debris from the hydraulic oil that returns through the return port for return oil (7).Hydraulic oil flows through filter base (6) into filter housing (2). The oil fills the space between the inside of filter housing (2) and filter element (3). Then, oil flows through filter element (3) and back to filter base (6). Oil from filter base (6) flows to hydraulic oil tank (1). Filter element (3) stops any debris that is in the hydraulic oil.If filter element (3) becomes full of debris, the restriction to the flow of oil causes a pressure increase inside filter element (3). The pressure of the oil causes filter bypass valve (5) to move against spring (4). Unfiltered oil is allowed to pass through bypass valve (5) and flow directly into hydraulic oil tank (1). Unfiltered oil can cause damage to components in the hydraulic system.Correct maintenance procedures must be followed in order to ensure that the filter element does not become full of debris which will stop the flow of clean oil to the hydraulic tank.Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7764, "Hydraulic System Oil Filters - Replace".Return Filter for the Demand Fan

(13) Filter Base The oil filter for the demand fan is located within the hydraulic oil tank. The oil filter for the demand fan removes debris from the hydraulic oil that returns through the return port for the demand fan (10).Hydraulic oil flows through filter base (13) into filter housing (8). The oil fills the space between the inside of filter housing (8) and filter elements (9). Then, oil flows through filter elements (9) and back to filter base (13).
