Install the Laser Receiver
Note: The following steps show the procedure for mounting a Laser Receiver to a 226-2333 Electric Mast (26) on the left side of the blade. Repeat this procedure for the right side of the blade if your Motor Grader is equipped for Dual Laser Receivers.
To prevent possible personal injury during installation and removal of the laser receivers, lower the mast to the minimum height and use an approved access system to reach the mounting locations of the laser receivers at the top of the mast. Do not climb on the blade.

Illustration 3 g01127988
To make sure that the machine is grading to the correct elevation, the machine must be benched over a point with a known elevation relative to the reference grade provided by the laser beam. This point is known as a benchmark. You will must bench the machine every time the laser transmitter is setup. The following sections discuss the procedure in to bench a dual mast system using the Linked Elevation mode and a level laser.
Mount the electric masts and laser receivers on blade.
Place the display in Linked operating mode in order to transpose the laser reference to the surface.
For Independent applications, select the side of the blade that elevation will be controlled by pressing the Cursor Scroll button (6) .To bench the system, complete the following steps:
Place the blade several inches above the surface.
Press the "Left Bench" button (8) in order to search for the beam. For Independent applications, both mast will need to be benched separately
Place the system in automatic in order for the cutting edge to match the laser plane.
Place the blade tip on a bench mark.
Press the "Left Bench" button (8) in order to bench the system. For Independent applications, both masts will need to be benched separately.Make sure that you do not move the benchmark. If necessary, put the blade tip next to the benchmark.
If the left tip is on the benchmark, press the "OK" button (9). The search for the laser beam stops when the left laser receiver is on grade. If the right tip is on the benchmark, press the "ESC/Left Reset/Left Bench" button (8). The search for the laser beam stops when the right laser receiver is on grade. This process is called auto benching. Both masts move automatically until the laser receiver that is auto benched is aligned with the laser beam.Note: The laser receiver that is not auto benched may not be on grade. Best results are achieved when both laser receivers are on grade. This occurs when the cutting edge is parallel to the laser beam.Setting The "Reference Elevation"
Once the machine has been benched, the reference elevation of the benchmark is entered into the Display. This elevation is known as the "Reference Elevation". To enter the "Reference
