Clean and test the aftercooler core. Refer to Operation and Maintains Manual, "Aftercooler Core- Clean/Test" for the correct procedure.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Attach a suitable lifting device to base (4).
Position base (4) on the engine.
Install bolts (22).

Inspect O-ring seals (21). Replace the aftercooler gaskets.
Install aftercooler core (20) in the aftercooler housing.

Install bonnet (19) and bolts (18).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler housing (10). The weight of aftercooler housing (10) and the aftercooler core is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Position aftercooler housing (10) and the aftercooler core on the engine. Install bolts (17).

Install harness assembly (16).

Install the plates and bolts (15).

Install tube assembly (3) and clamp (13) on auxiliary water pump (14).

Connect harness assemblies (11) and (12).

Install bolts (9) in base (4) and aftercooler housing (10).

Connect tube assemblies (8).
Install bolts (6) in bracket (7) and base (4).

Install brackets (5) on base (4).

Connect tube assembly (2) and tube assembly (3) to the aftercooler.
Install bolts (1).
Refill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
