A     1P-0520     Driver Group     1    Note: Be sure that the pin bore in the boom is thoroughly clean prior to the installation of the sleeve bearings and the lip type seals.
Lower the temperature of the sleeve bearings that are used in the pin bore at the foot of the boom. Use Tooling (A) to install the two sleeve bearings in the pin bore at the foot of the boom. Install the sleeve bearings until the bearings are 9.5 0.8 mm (.37 .03 inch) below the outside surface of the boom. Install one bearing on each side of the boom.

Use Tooling (A) to install two lip type seals (1) in the pin bore at the foot of the boom. Install each seal with the sealing lip toward the outside of the boom. Install the lip type seals until the lip type seal makes contact with the bearing.End By: Install the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom - Install" in this manual.
