Relay (Travel Alarm)The travel alarm relay is used to activate the travel alarm.When the travel alarm relay is activated, the relay delivers 24 VDC to contact 2. The following three conditions are required in order to activate the travel alarm relay:
Contact 1 of the travel alarm relay is supplied with 24 VDC.
Contact 3 of the travel alarm relay is grounded. Contact 3 is grounded if any travel pressure switch closes. The travel pressure switches are located in the travel pilot lines.
Contact 4 of the travel alarm relay is open. Contact 4 remains open as long as the operator does not disable the alarm with the alarm disable switch. The alarm disable switch is located on the right console.The travel alarm relay will stop working when the pilot pressure disappears in both of the pilot pressure lines for travel. The travel alarm relay will also stop working if the operator disables the travel alarm relay with the travel alarm cancel switch.Relay (Travel Cutoff)

Schematic Symbol Of Travel Cutoff Relay ConnectorThe travel cutoff relay controls the park brake indicator in the monitor panel. The travel cutoff relay also controls the travel activation solenoid. If there is +24 VDC at contact 6, and if contact 2 and contact 1 are grounded, then contact 5 is at +24 VDC and contact 3 is open. When contact 3 is open there is no power. When ground is removed from contact 1, the relay waits for one half of a second before +24 VDC is removed from contact 5 and +24 VDC is applied to contact 3. When contact 1 is grounded again, contact 5 is at +24 DCV and contact 3 is open without a time delay.
